This freestyle finds Drake addressing his relationship with his nemesis, Kanye West. Once friends, the two rap titans fell out after the Toronto MC accused the Chicago artist of leaking the story of his then-secret child, Adonis, to Pusha T. Drake responded with the diss track "Duppy Freestyle." Their beef intensified when Drizzy took some shots during his verse on Trippie Redd's August 2021 cut "Betrayal." Kanye responded by posting Drake's address on Instagram. He deleted it shortly afterwards, but made several veiled swipes on his Donda album, released just over a week later. This latest salvo between the two finds Drake mocking West at length without actually naming him.
The song title, which doesn't appear in the lyrics, refers to the Bridle Path residential neighborhood in Toronto, the location of Drake's multimillion-dollar home. It is a pointed reference to West's ill-advised posting of the Canadian rapper's address on social media.
The song is the fifth installment of Drake's AM/PM series, following "9AM In Dallas," "5AM In Toronto," "6PM in New York" and "4PM in Calabasas." The five chorus-less songs chart the course of the Toronto MC's career, providing an update on his mindset.
