This monster posse track was released as the first single from the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Winter, the follow-up to 2012s Cruel Summer. The celebratory anthem premiered on June 3, 2016 on Big Boy's 92.3 radio show just minutes after Kanye announced it on Twitter.
The guest heavy song features verses by Migos member Quavo, Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, and Yo Gotti while Desiigner and Travi$ Scott croon the hook. In an interview, Yeezy described the track as featuring "The Avengers of Rap."
Travi$ Scott wrote the track back in 2013. When it was released, he tweeted props to Kanye: "I wrote Champions like 3 year. I wasn't gonna use it this ni---. Ye is a visionary."
