Tyler Farr is a classically trained opera singer who took voice lessons during his teenage years and sung with the prestigious OAKE National Choir.
Farr's mom was an aspiring singer who ended up married to George Jones' touring guitarist. Tyler said: "I first fell in love with country music when I was 16 after spending a summer on the road with my stepfather, who played lead guitar for George Jones. I went from being a bouncer at Tootsie's to convincing them to let me sing there."
At 21, Farr made his way to Nashville to try his hand at being a star. "I saw guys who'd been there for ten years and nothing had happened," Farr said of the sobering reality. "I got there, thinking I've got an album… I'm gonna be a star. It cost me $25,000. It was a total mess. You start to realize: it doesn't matter how good, or what you've got. There's just so much more to it."
