Kenny Chesney married actress Renee Zellweger on May 9, 2005. Four months later they separated. Chesney put his emotions in the song "I'm Alive," where he expresses how even though he was broken-hearted over the split, he could still feel good about his music, his friends, and all the other great things he had in his life.
Chesney has produced and co-directed two football documentaries: Boys of Fall and The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story. "Football is as universal as music, almost," said Chesney. "I wanted to look at how many parallels there are between the game of football and living your life once you leave the game."
Playboy magazine named him "the George Clooney of country music". He doesn't mind the comparison, as he told Playboy, "I have dated a lot of women. We're both pretty successful. He has better hair. I probably sing better. I think we've both dated the same woman. He dated Renée for a short time—so we have a lot in common."
