Trap

Trap music is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the early 1990s. It is typified by its ominous, dark, and gritty lyrical content and sound, which incorporates 808 sub-bass kick drums, double-time, triple-time and other faster time division hi-hats, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings. Trap music often features lyrical content that is centered around drug culture, street life, violence, and other topics that are often considered taboo.
