French Synthpop

French Synthpop is a genre of electronic music that originated in France in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is characterized by its use of synthesizers and drum machines, as well as its melodic, often melancholic sound. French Synthpop is heavily influenced by the New Wave and Post-Punk movements, and often incorporates elements of Disco, Funk, and Pop music. Artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Mylène Farmer, and Air are some of the most well-known French Synthpop acts.
