Polish Rock is a genre of rock music that originated in Poland in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It is characterized by its heavy use of electric guitars, synthesizers, and drum machines, as well as its incorporation of traditional Polish folk music elements. It is often seen as a precursor to the punk and new wave movements of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Polish Rock bands such as Czerwone Gitary, Niebiesko-Czarni, and Maanam are considered to be some of the most influential in the genre.
