Joseph Kahn, who directed Ciara's 2006 "Get Up" music video, returned for this one, where we find the singer performing in the desert with the all-girl dance crew 8 Flavahz. It's not the first time Kahn stranded a bunch of girls in the desert: his video for the Pussycat Dolls' "I Hate This Part" shows the group stuck there with a broken-down car.
Asked by Digital Spy why this missed the final tracklist of Ciara's 2013 eponymous album, the songstress replied: "It was part of experimenting during the beginning of joining Epic. It's one of those songs which, I believe, is one of the coolest video references I've had." "As I was making the album the direction started to change and so it didn't quite fall into that bracket where the album ended up going. But it's one of my favorite videos."
