This is one of the most famous R&B bedroom songs. The Isley's were known for a funk and soul sound, but this is similar to the work of Barry White and later-era Marvin Gaye ("Sexual Healing" was an influence on this song) in creating the sound of seduction. Ronald Isley sang lead.
