An ode to Alt_J's home country of England, this ends with an allusion to the British patriotic song "Rule, Britannia!." "Rule Britannia" originated from a James Thomson poem titled "Rule, Britannia!" It was written for Alfred, a masque about King Alfred the Great and set to music by Thomas Arne. The British national air gained instant popularity and soon developed an independent life of its own, separate from the masque of which it had formed a part.
