This is the title track of The War On Drugs third studio long player. The record was named the best album of 2014 by a number of publications and websites including, Paste, Consequence of Sound, Uncut, Q and Under the Radar. In addition it came top of Metacritic's compilation of 139 different Top Ten lists for the year published by a variety of music sources.
The album's lyrical theme was influenced by the depression and paranoia War on Drugs songwriter Adam Granduciel faced after he finished touring and was forced to adjust to everyday life. He admitted to The Sun that his lyrics can be a little vague. "I'm not really a storyteller," he said. "With me, it has always been about trying to weave between lyrics and sound to create a mood."
