Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Konstantine. By Songfacts®.

This is about a relationship that is filled with ups and downs, but mostly downs. Lead singer Andrew McMahon wrote it about his ex-girlfriend Krystal, which is why it's Konstantine and not Constantine. The lyrics about the living room are about making out with her. The line "I can spell Konfusion with a "k" and I can like it" refers to how "Krystal" usually isn't spelled with a K.

The part that begins, "Wake up lying in a patch of four leaf clovers is about how McMahon got drunk and ended up cheating on Krystal and she caught him. Krystal wanted to break up with him at that point but just couldn't and took him back.

The band didn't release this on an album because they didn't think it would sound right in that context. It is a very popular song among their fans, and has spread through downloading. It can be found on the Japanese import of Songs For Silent Movies.
