Paul Godfrey and Ross Godfrey, brothers who make up two thirds of the British band, explain the song's origin: "Ross arrived at my flat with the first line of the chorus, I had an idea for the title, so we hit the studio and crafted the smash that blasted out from the dirty radios on building sites all over the world." "We always had this big problem that we couldn't get on the radio because people would fall asleep and crash their cars," Ross joked. "So we thought we'd make a record suitable for daytime listening."
The working title for the album was Mindless Happiness.
This topped the Polish Singles Chart and landed at #2 in New Zealand.
