Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Let's Stick Together. By Songfacts®.

This song was originally recorded by the American singer Wilbert Harrison in 1962. Eight years later, Harrison had a hit with a modified version, "Let's Work Together," which was covered by Canned Heat. Bryan Ferry recorded his own version of the original song for the title track of his 1976 album. Released as a single, the dance-floor filler became his biggest solo hit in the UK.

The video features Ferry's then girlfriend, Jerry Hall. The Texan supermodel did not heed the song's message of keeping the relationship going as she left Ferry for Mick Jagger a year later.

In 1988 Ferry did an updated version of the song, re-mixed by Bruce Lampcov & Rhett Davies. This re-recording reached #12 in the UK chart.
