The first track to be released of the Kauai EP side of Donald "Childish Gambino" Glover's STN MTN/Kauai set, the song finds the rapper drowning his sorrows in drink after a break-up. He believes he'll never get over the girl and eases his pain by getting high. Gambino declares he will "never be sober" again.
The song's music video was filmed by Japanese-American director Hiro Murai (David Guetta, Earl Sweatshirt, The Shins) and stars Amber-Lauren Jones (Hollywood Heights). "We shot in Zankou Chicken, a Hollywood restaurant with the craziest colors," Murai recalled to Billboard magazine. "I'm pretty sure we broke some sort of health code, but the dove Donald [Glover] released in the video was real."
