Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Wet Dreamz. By Songfacts®.

Cole tells the story here about he lost his virginity to a girl in his math class and lied to her about not being a virgin. The track goes back a long way – it was originally intended for the North Carolina rapper's 2011 debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story.

The song samples Family Circle's 1976 track "Mariya." Game's 2005 cut "Like Father, Like Son" also borrows from the classic soul tune.

The video follows two puppies falling for each other, as we watch the male pup plot to take their canine flirting to the next level. The clip ends with J. Cole and the other dog's owner having some fun of their own. The puppy love video was directed by Ryan Staake, who has also helmed clips for Route 94 ("My Love") and Alt-J ("Left Hand Free.")
