This celebratory song was released as the third single from Colors in the United States. Beck recorded the album with producer/songwriter Greg Kurstin, who has hit it big working with artists such as Kelly Clarkson ("What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)") and Adele ("Hello"). The two musicians go way back, as Kurstin played keyboards in Beck's band in the early 2000s. Beck told Rolling Stone that the pair played essentially every instrument on Colors. "Between the two of us, we can play everything, and we don't have to go through the filter of other people."
The song's "hands up" celebratory lyrics made it a popular choice for soundtracking other media. A previous mix was featured on the soundtrack of football game FIFA 17 and the tune was also used in a commercial for Fossil smartwatches.
The Canada-directed video director follows French actress Solene Rigot in her search for her stricken friend, played by Pedro Attenborough, at a house party.
