This is the title track of Airbourne's fourth studio album. It's lyric video was created by Richard Oakes from Dark Fable Media. "We get a lot of feedback from our fans saying how much they love the faster tracks," said Airbourne frontman Joel O'Keeffe. "But when they play them in the car... well, it can be tough on their pocket with all the speeding fines! 'Breakin' Outta Hell' is definitely one of those numbers... even the guys who filmed the lyric video were stopped by the police and given a fine" "For us, these visuals really sum up the feeling behind the song and the album, too," he continued. "The whole message is right there. Put on the single, or the album, and it's, 'F--k the boss and f--k all the tax I owe. I'm going out, I'm getting pissed and I'm going to listen to some hard rock 'n' roll.' No ballads, no bulls--t. I'm breaking out of hell!"
The song also opens the Breakin' Outta Hell album. "We wanted to come out swinging with a good, hard, fast track," Joel O'Keefe told Metal Hammer. "Breakin' Outta Hell is very us, and the lyrical content is what we wanted to come out saying straight away. It speaks to a lot of people who love our band: 'I'm a crazy mother f--ker and I just don't care.' It's a full throttle song and it's what we needed to launch with."
