Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Kiss Kiss (feat. T-Pain). By Songfacts®.

Chris Brown was only 18 when he released "Kiss Kiss," but he already had a #1 hit under his belt with his debut single, "Run It!" His fast rise and cocky attitude earned him some haters, which he built into the storyline of this song, which finds him getting with a girl willing to tune out that noise.

"Kiss Kiss" was Chris Brown's first collaboration with T-Pain, who produced it, co-wrote it with Brown, and features on the track. T-Pain gave it a shot of his signature Auto-Tune, which was novel at the time. He released his heavily Auto-Tuned album Epiphany a few months earlier and was in demand as a producer as rappers and singers looked to get in on this action. Brown and T-Pain were on the same label (Jive) and had toured together.

According to Brown, the song was a lot more raunchy at first, with the hook, "She's chunky, chunky - she's thick, thick." His manager convinced him to tone it down, so Brown and T-Pain changed it to "She wants that lovey dovey, that kiss, kiss."
