Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about I'm Always Here. By Songfacts®.

"I'm Always Here" was the theme song for Baywatch, an American TV series that ran from 1989-2001. Performed by Jimi Jamison, the original frontman for Survivor, this uptempo song appeared on a 10-track cassette promo by Mercury Records of Hamburg. It also appeared as a promo single by Scotti Brothers Records in 1994, in France, and as a CD promo in the UK on Direction Records in 2005.

Jamison is credited as the lyricist on this song along with Joe Henry, who co-wrote the Rascal Flatts hit "Skin" (this is not the Joe Henry who wrote Madonna's "Don't Tell Me"). The music is credited to Cory Lerios and John D'Andrea.

With the line, "I won't let you out of my sight," this is an appropriate song for a TV series about lifeguards. The song itself is more likely a commitment to a girl, telling her that he will always be there for her.
