This song was featured in the film Euro Trip in 2004. It is the bands only hit. In the film, Scotty is dumped by his girlfriend Fiona. He later finds out at a party that Fiona had been cheating on him for a long time, hence the title "Scotty Doesn't Know." The band plays at the party and that is when the song is played and Scottie finds out the truth. When he travels Europe, he finds that song has become world famous.
The 2006 Hannah Montana song "Rockstar" (performed by Miley Cyrus) sounds a lot like this. Lustra guitarist Nick Cloutman said: "Although we are very flattered that Ms. Cyrus took this route, we would have preferred some credit." He added, "We don't want anything other than credit for the music we worked so very hard on. We don't believe for a second that Ms. Cyrus knew what was happening and was only following instructions."
