"Electric Eye" wasn't released as a single but still garnered airplay on rock radio in America, where Judas Priest were making inroads thanks to another Screaming For Vengeance track, "You've Got Another Thing Comin'." "Electric Eye" became a live favorite, played at most of their shows throughout their career.

In the 2006 movie Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, there is a reference to this song in a musical number called "Break-In-City (Storm The Gates)," where Jack Black sings: "Electric Eye. Infiltrate, storm the gates!" Tenacious D are big fans of Judas Priest.
