Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Ruin. By Songfacts®.

"Ruin" is the opening track to Lamb of God's As The Palaces Burn album, which the band produced with Devin Townsend. The song is very dark, calling forth what leads to "the art of ruin." The band's lyricists, Mark Morton and Randy Blythe, often express the shadowy side of their personalities in their songs, which suits their genre. They point out, however, that they are not a miserable bunch; it's just that happy songs aren't very metal.

Dan Rush directed the music video, which shows the band performing the song in what appears to be a Mexican church.
