A Match Into Water

Pierce The Veil frontman Vic Fuentes described this song as his gift to his ex-girlfriend who successfully battled breast cancer. Speaking to breast cancer charity Keep A Breast, he said the track is, "about how proud I am of her making it through all the pain and the treatment all on her own, She's the strongest girl I've ever known and I'm inspired by her every day."

Fuentes told Kerrang: "It sounds like a difficult subject to cover but it wasn't in the sense that I wrote the song after she had beaten the cancer. It's actually a celebratory song and it was supposed to be a sort of a gift to her to say 'Hey I'm proud of you. I can't believe you made it through such a horrible situation.' I wrote it for her to talk about and mark the struggle she went through."
