This track from American singer Sara Bareilles is a track from her third studio album Kaleidoscope Heart. She penned the song with Sam Farrar, who is the bass guitar player for rock band Phantom Planet. His other credits include Maroon 5's single "Misery" plus several other tracks on their Hands All Over album. Sam's father John Farrar wrote and produced many of Olivia Newton-John's hits including her Grease duet with John Travolta, "You're The One That I Want."
Bareilles recorded a new version featuring additional vocals from OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder. This new recording was released as a single on September 20, 2011 exclusively on iTunes.
Comedian Jonah Hill directed the music video. Bareilles told AOL Music that the clip is, "a mash-up of Grease meets West Side Story meets a little market in East LA." She added: "Jonah and I both wanted it to be a combination of fantasy and reality. Silly, over the top moments that are anchored with authenticity."
