Juice WRLD was raised by his single mother in Homewood, a suburb in southern Chicago. Though his mom tried to keep him away from the streets as much as possible, he was influenced by an environment where he was "taught to love my brothers and to hate the other side." Here, Juice links up with fellow Chicago rapper Polo G and Australian teenager The Kid Laroi to reflect on their struggles with their opps.
Polo and Juice were homies and used to hang out regularly together. Their only previous released recording was Polo G's 2020 The Goat track "Flex."
The Kid Laroi supported Juice WRLD on his 2018 and 2019 Australia tours, during which the Chicago rapper mentored him. They linked up on Karoi's 2020 single "Go!" with Juice recording his verse as a 16th birthday gift for his protégé.
