This retro club banger leans on one of popular music's most endearing themes: being alone is a sickness and love is the cure. Here, Dr. Love is the supplier of the singer's remedy. Doctor, prescribe me that drug 'Cause I need some more of your healing It's the Doc's "medicine" that turns her on.
The song is a collaboration between the English electronic music DJ Riton and the Dutch house producer Oliver Heldens. It features anthemic vocals by the British singer Vula.
"Turn Me On" samples the synths from Yazoo's 1982 hit "Don't Go." It also borrows from the hook of the Philly girl group First Choice's 1977 disco tune "Dr. Love."
