Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about I Got You. By Songfacts®.

"I Got You" is the second single from Bebe Rexha's EP All Your Fault: Pt. 1, which deals with her move to Los Angeles and the frustrations she felt when she lost her best friend, her manager and her boyfriend soon after arriving. She told Songwriter Universe this song is about "finding somebody who's also emotionally unavailable, but wanting to just jump into something because it feels right. And telling the other person that I've been through the exact same thing."

Rexha co-wrote the song herself along with regular collaborator, English songwriter Lauren Christy. The pair also teamed up to co-pen the Jon Levine-produced "I'm Gonna Show You Crazy," Rexha's collaboration with G-Eazy, "Me, Myself & I" and Iggy Azalea's single "Team."

The song was produced by Captain Cuts, who comprise Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon and Ryan Rabin. The latter is the drummer and producer of the band Grouplove. The LA-based trio's resume includes several Grouplove numbers and Walk the Moon's hit single "Shut Up And Dance."
