BTS' first song recorded entirely in English, this tropical pop EDM track is sung entirely by Jungkook, RM and Jimin from the Korean boy band.
The ode to restless young love was written by Steve Aoki and RM with: Songwriter Jeff Halavacs whose also co-penned tunes for Jack & Jack ("2 Cigarettes") and Madison Beer ("All For Love"). DJ, producer and songwriter Michael Gazzo, who has done remixes for artists such as Ariana Grande and Rudimental. Songwriter Nate Cyphert, who has co-penned tunes for both country artists (Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y. ") and pop acts (Fifth Harmony's "Don't Say That You Love Me") Former Runner Runner vocalist Ryan Ogren who has also gone on to co-pen songs for country acts (Blake Shelton's "Money") and pop singers (Austin Mahone's "What About Love") Sean Foreman, who is best known for being one half of the electronic pop duo 3OH!3 along with Nathaniel Motte.
Steve Aoki previously worked with the Korean boyband when he remixed their track "MIC Drop" with additional vocals by Desiigner. When that variant topped the US iTunes Top Songs chart, BTS became the first K-pop group to accomplish the feat. The dance producer also collaborated with BTS vocalists' Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, and V for a song called "The Truth Untold" for the popular septet's 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear.
