This festive, easy-going song finds Thomas Rhett singing of the simple joys that come with celebrating the holiday in the country. He paints a picture of a picturesque scene that's "miles from a city and the crazy crowds. Where the pine trees grow and the world slows down."
Rhett penned the song with Ashley Gorley, David Garcia and Chris Tomlin. Though festive music has always played a large part in Rhett's holiday celebrations, he's never recorded a Christmas song until now. He explained in a press release that his wife Lauren has long wanted him make some Christmas music and "this year felt like the right time to finally take a stab at writing something."
Rhett released the track on November 19, 2019, alongside a cover of the classic "The Christmas Song."
