In a track-by-track interview with Songfacts, Mik McKeogh of Funeral Suits explained: "We wanted to write something that was about not forgetting where you came from and appreciating the things that got you to where you are today. The good and the ugly. And being willing to go back there to give thanks."
The video was directed by James Fitzgerald and released in June, 2016. It follows a rebellious young boy as he smokes, drinks, and plays with firearms in the countryside. Just when it seems he has lost all his childhood innocence, he stops short of throwing his teddy bear in the fire he set, as his mom appears to comfort him.
