Interesting facts and trivia about Where's The Catch?. By Songfacts®.

This song finds James Blake singing about a romance he fears is too good to be true. (Alright now) Where's the catch? (Can't fool me) Where's the catch? There must be, there must be a catch Blake's relationship with the girl is flourishing to a point where he's getting suspicious. It is likely he is referencing The Good Place actress and TV presenter Jameela Jamil, who he started dating in 2015.

James Blake is joined by André 3000 on the track; The OutKast rapper reflects on being trapped by pessimistic thoughts. It represents André's first guest feature since he appeared on N.E.R.D's 2017 track "Rollinem 7's." However the pair previously linked up in May 2018 for André's Mothers Day release, "Look Ma No Hands."

Blake commented in an iTunes track by track that he loves the way André "balances slight abstraction with this feeling of paranoia" during his verse. He added that the OutKast rapper's line, "Like I know I'm eight, and I know I ain't," refers to "anxiety bringing you back to being a child, but knowing that you're supposed to feel strong and stable because you're an adult now. That's just so beautifully put."
