Billie Eilish teamed up with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía for this alluring ballad. Backed by atmospheric synths, the pair sings sometimes in English but predominantly in Spanish. The song title translates as "Will You Forget It?"
The bilingual, somber track finds Eilish and Rosalia soliciting forgiveness as they hope a romance won't be forgotten. Rosalia kicks off the song by asking a past lover, "Dime si me echas de meno' aún" ("Tell me if you still miss me"). The two singers continue to address the ex who is giving the impression the breakup didn't upset him. However, the guy is expressing animosity towards his former girlfriend, signifying her love was more important to him than he admits.
The melancholic song was a long time in the making. Eilish and Rosalia's first joint recording session was in Los Angeles in January 2019, where most of the track was written and recorded at a piano. The pair held a second collaborative session six months later, but the tune remained unfinished due to scheduling conflicts. Once lockdown started because of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Rosalia found the time to work on the arrangements and her vocals. After Eilish sent her vocals a couple of months later, the song was completed. Darkroom and Interscope released the single on January 21, 2021.
