Written in 2009 while Kings of Leon were touring, the band unveiled this acoustic ballad on March 31, 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. With lyrics about being unable to meet up with loved ones, it fit in perfectly with people self-isolating during the lockdown.
Kings Of Leon released a stripped-back acoustic version on Instagram as their first new music since their 2016 Walls album. They dropped it on March 31, 2020 under the name "Going Nowhere" but named it "Supermarket" when they included it on the When You See Yourself album.
Regular Kings of Leon collaborator Casey McGrath directed the sparse, black-and-white video. Shot live in Nashville, it shows frontman Caleb Followill sitting on the side of a couch in an empty room. He croons the lyrics with his back to the camera while strumming his guitar.
