Megan Thee Stallion has been calling herself a "Hot Girl" ever since her 2018 song of the same name. Here, she flexes her sex appeal, saying the pictures of her curves and "lil waist" have been getting men through the COVID-19 quarantine. "If I were me and I would have seen myself, I would have bought me a drink," the self-professed rap queen quips.
Megan revealed in a YouTube Released video that she was inspired to write the twerk-worthy bop while she was appreciating her body during the COVID-19 lockdown, stating, "I'm like walking around the living room, freestyling, and appreciating my quarantine body 'cause I feel like I got a little fluffy and thick, and I was like, 'Baby I still look good.'" As Meghan rapped and twerked, she looked at herself in the mirror and asked herself, "What does this beat make me want to do?" The answer was, "Body. Look at this body."
One of Megan's regular collaborators, LilJuMadeDaBeat, came up with the fast-paced instrumentation. His other productions for the Texan include her breakthrough single "Big Ole Freak" and "Cash S---."
