Drummer Matt Donnelly enjoyed laying down this track. He recalled to The Sun: "Greatness was one of the most fun to record because it's got layers, textured drum parts, including cow bells over the top. It gives me a bit of a Phil Collins feeling."
Guitarist Simon Delaney (from Kerrang): "This one has some very heavy guitars, and lots of cowbell. I know Kerrang album reviews include a bit that says for fans of… so I'll definitely say that this one is for fans of cowbell. It's a pop song with a heavy twist that that was our brief for it."
