Written by Jess Glynne with Ed Sheeran, this ode to simply being yourself finds the singer doing her own thing on Thursdays. I won't wear makeup on Thursday 'Cause who I am is enough It seems that Thursday is Glynne's dressing-down day. It's also when she wears her sweatpants and drinks "soft drink from a can."
Glynne told BBC Radio 2 breakfast show host Chris Evans that she penned the song with Ed Sheeran during a sort of musical "therapy session." She added: "The song itself is about accepting yourself for who you are and not abiding by society and feeling like you have to abide by the pressures that people put on you - to wear make up and be perfect at all time. Being you is just fine... Who I am is enough."
The song was naturally released on a Thursday – the day before Glynne's sophomore album Always In Between dropped on October 12, 2018.
