MGK and Halsey have been friends for a long time, so it's surprising this is their first collaboration together. Halsey tweeted when the rapper-turned-rocker dropped Tickets to My Downfall, "Can't believe it took 7 years for us to do it."
MGK and Halsey co-wrote the song with Nick Long, who is a member of the band Dark Waves. Long contributed towards the writing of every track on Tickets to My Downfall apart from the two interludes.
