"Ghosts" is a track from Post Traumatic, a solo album released by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda in the wake of Chester Bennington's suicide on July 20, 2017. The intensely personal lyrics evoke the loss of Shinoda's friend and bandmate. Holding every memory close Tonight is for our ghosts
Shinoda takes an unexpected approach to the song's music video by predominantly featuring sock puppets. The Linkin Park vocalist himself directed the clip, which stars Boris and Miss Oatmeal. Shinoda admits that sock puppets are an unusual medium, but says: "I made a sock puppet video because it took me months to feel like I deserved to have fun. So I celebrated it, and I have no regrets. I wanted to make you guys smile. You deserve to smile. You deserve to have fun. You deserve to live. THINK before you click."
