Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about STOOPID. By Songfacts®.

"Stoopid" finds 6ix9ine rapping braggadocios rhymes in his signature screamo rap style. We goin' dumb-d-dumb-dumb-dumb-d-dumb-dumb-dumb Bitch I'm stoopid, bitch I'm dumb "Stoopid" is the spelling of how 6ix9ine says the word "stupid" in real life. These bars utilize the same beat and rhythm of Nicki Minaj's 2010 hit "Super Bass," when she raps: Boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, bass

The song's hook interpolates the lyrics and flow from the song "Computers" by Rowdy Rebel featuring Bobby Shmurda. It also features a Shmurda verse presumably done over the phone, as at the time of the song's recording the Brooklyn rapper was serving time in jail. He was sentenced to seven years in prison on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, weapons possession and reckless endangerment.

The beat was supplied by Tay Keith - it's the first collaboration between 6ix9ine and the Memphis producer. Keith supplied the instrumentation towards a string of hit singles in 2018 including BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive," Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode," and Drake's "Nonstop."
