Take on the World

This is Night People's big ballad. Vocalist Josh Franceschi told Kerrang: "That song is the one where as soon as we recorded it, we knew it was a big anthem. It's kinda like a declaration saying, 'Life isn't easy but whatever happens, I hope I can make it easier for you and take away some of the sting.'"

Josh Franceschi penned this with James Bay, Jake Bugg and Snow Patrol songwriter Iain Archer. The YMAS frontman told the story of the song to The Sun: "I've never done a co-write before so working on a song with another writer was a bit alien for me. But I went along and met Iain and sat down with him. Four hours later we had this demo, which I guess came from some weird therapy session. It's a sensitive song. I know my publicist will kill me for saying this but I've always thought that Coldplay's 'Fix You ' is one of the most beautiful and sensitive songs ever. It's not cool to say but I love Coldplay and that song is even more stunning once you know what it's about. Love isn't always about the sunshine days, which is what Take On The World is about."
