Vocalist Andy Six explained the song's meaning in an interview with Kerrang!: "A basic devotion story, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a love story. There's so many things in life that people devote themselves to, but if I'm not ready to die for what I love, I can't justify starting it in the first place."
