This sassy, hip-shaking anthem finds an independent Jennifer Lopez rejecting traditional gender roles. I ain't cooking all day I ain't your mama I ain't gonna do your laundry I ain't your mama Lopez explained: "Guys have this tendency, once they love you in the beginning and you're the hottest woman on Earth, and then all of a sudden, it's like, 'Okay... where's my food?' It's like, 'What!? Are you kidding me? Take me out! What are you doing right now?' But it's a really fun song and everybody seems to be responding to it really well so I'm happy about that."
The song was co-written by Meghan Trainor, who also contributed backing vocals. "When dreams come true," the "All About That Bass" singer tweeted.
Lopez premiered the song on the series finale of American Idol on April 7, 2016.
