"REVOFEV" is a track from Kid Cudi's second album, Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Cudi offered a pronunciation guide on his blog when it was released: "Those having trouble pronouncing the title, its REV OF EV which is short for Revolution Of Evolution. Just let it flow ha say it how it's spelled."
The song features production from Plain Pat, who worked with Cudi on his 2008 mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. The string arrangement is by Larry Gold, who is also the man responsible for the orchestral accompaniment on Kanye West's 2008 Cudi featuring hit "Welcome to Heartbreak."
The song is about an impending revolution, but it finds Kid Cudi surprisingly mellow, maybe because he's "so high up." Cudi later reveled that he was dealing with bouts of intense anger around this time as pressures were getting to him. Music became his therapy, but it wasn't enough - he had to go to rehab to sort out his issues.
