This bluesy slow groover features vocal assists from veteran British rocker Rod Stewart and R&B crooner Miguel, whilst Mark Ronson handles production in his trademark retro style.
"Everyday" interpolates a sample from Australian group Python Lee Jackson's 1970 track, "In A Broken Dream," which featured Rod Stewart as guest singer. Stewart specifically re-recorded his vocals in a studio for this song.
The song finds Rocky pondering his place in the world. He explained the track's meaning during the May 8, 2015 Red Bull Music Academy Q&A event at My Image Studios in New York. "I'm talking about real like s---, man," he told the crowd. "The world is crazy, but I'll be fine sippin' my motherf--king wine. Be happy. Smoke weed. Sip wine."
