A song musically inspired by the '50s Doo-Wop sound - specifically the Dion & The Belmonts tune of the same name - Neon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn says it is about a man he fancied for about three years. He came out as gay at age 30, shortly before the Pop Psychology album was issued. While he was in the closet, he tried to convince himself that he could be happy in a relationship with a woman, and dated a girl for two years the he intended to marry. Glenn is part of the Mormon church, which added to his anxiety about coming out. He used the release of the album as an opportunity to talk about his sexuality and get it out in the open. Most of his friends and family were very supportive, which affirmed his decision.
