The melodic "Find My Way" is DaBaby's first solo music since releasing his sophomore album, Kirk. It's a stylistic change for the North Carolina MC as he sings on the chorus while still rapping on the song's two verses.
Lyrically, the song finds an explicitly vulnerable DaBaby talking about falling for a woman who broke his heart. This, coupled with losing loved ones and people treating him "like the villain," have made him angry. The rapper eases his rage with a casual affair.
"Find My Way" features production by DaBaby's frequent collaborator DJ K.i.D. The beat incorporates a continuous guitar loop that's also used on Marshmello & Anne-Marie's 2018 hit song "Friends." It came from a purchasable sample pack on Splice made by Prime Loops, which Marshmello acquired royalty-free. This meant DJ K.i.D could also use the same sample without fear of infringement.
