Jocelyn Flores

Jocelyn Flores was a friend and fan of XXXTentacion. She suffered from depression and committed suicide in a hotel room while visiting the Florida rapper. During this song, X directly addresses his struggles with her death: I know you're somewhere, somewhere I've been trapped in my mind, girl, just holdin' on I don't wanna pretend we're somethin', we're nothin' I've been stuck thinkin' 'bout her, I can't hold on

X first talked about Jocelyn on May 18, 2017 on his Instagram Live, when he spoke about his own emotional struggles in the wake of her suicide. "It was a devastating situation to deal with. … It f---ed me up so bad to where I wasn't on social media for the last few days unless I was addressing something that I needed to. … I never thought I would feel something for someone I barely knew that would f--k me up so bad just because I came from it."

X previously dedicated the song "Revenge" to his fallen friend as well. Although he didn't directly mention Jocelyn's suicide on the track, he addressed the incident in the song's SoundCloud description. "Rest in peace, Jocelyn," he wrote. "I will have my revenge upon the world."
