Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Blasphemy. By Songfacts®.

This cynical song is about people that will not let go of their beliefs, even though they don't actually believe them. Oli Sykes explained to Kerrang: "What they preach contradicts what they know to be true, but they won't turn the back on it – maybe because they feel responsible to carry it on. It makes no sense to me!"

Sykes explained that the lyric, "You've got hell to pay but you've already sold your soul," is "basically trying to explain the mindf--k of people who tend to believe in something, because they're scared of the unknown. If these powers that be existed, they'd know you were full of s--t anyway."
