This song is about a former boyfriend (a journalist whom she refuses to name) who broke Amy's heart.

This was a released as a double A-sided single in the UK along with "In My Bed."

In concerts, Amy has been known to dedicate this to "anyone who ever loved someone that didn't love you back." She confessed to Mojo magazine January 2008 that she sometimes finds this a difficult song to sing: "Music is something in my life where I can be completely honest, to the point where some of the songs I don't want to sing sometimes, 'cause they're so raw. You Send Me Flying, it's deep, I was in love, and it hurts me when I sing certain lyrics."
